After finding this church on Google Maps and deciding to make the 5 hour drive to "scout" it out for a possible Milky Way shoot I realized that the Hunter Moon would be setting behind it on the morning of Oct 14th. I was also able to get the moonrise the evening before from the other side. Here the moon is about an hour from setting but disappeared into the thick clouds you see at the bottom of the image. I feel very fortunate that my planning and persistence paid off.. Now I do look forward to getting back up here and shooting the Milky Way over the Church in 2020..
