Very cool. I think that is one of the most rewarding reasons why we pursue these old structures. You just never know how much longer we'll have them for.

Artist's Description

On the night of July 7th, when I took this image, a major lightning storm rolled through northern Montana. The rain and wind lasted for several hours. I spent an hour or so photographing it at sunrise on the 8th. I left about 6am and continued on my trip. When I got home I had heard that another photographer was up there a couple hours after me and that the church had collapsed. The Rocky Mountain Lutheran Church was built in 1915 and collapsed 2019. In 1993 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
