A couple weeks ago I went down to the Royal Gorge for sunset because I had an idea for an image in my mind. When I got there I found out that the gates to the bridge were closed and so it put that idea to rest. While I was driving around I found this interesting looking tree and it was in the perfect spot for shooting with Orion setting. The image may look slightly tilted but I can assure you it's level, the hill the tree is on is curved a little bit. I shot the tree and foreground just after sunset so that there was still some light on the ground. After it was dark I used my astro modified D850 with my trusty Sigma 28mm 1.4 Art lens to capture the beauty of the night sky.
