Artist's Description
When I came across the scene I stopped and just looked.. I had just been in the Livery and Stables hearing about the entire history of the town and it's people. When I saw the new, fresn blooms coming on the tree with the old grain mill and american flag in the background it really hit me how a once thriving town was now nothing more than a dot on the map. We did see a few people here but not many. The roads were empty, didn't see any cars going up or down them. I felt this image had a great symbolic meaning to me and probably a lot of other people who grew up in small town america and lived through the hard times.
